**Bild: Three-quarters of Ukrainian refugees in Germany are not working but receive benefits.**

In total, nearly 500,000 people receive benefits. It is noted that the employment rate among Ukrainian refugees in Germany (27%) is lower than in a number of neighboring countries.

In 2024, 31% of Ukrainians in Germany were employed. Meanwhile, the employment rate is 78% in Poland, 72% in Lithuania, and 69% in the UK.

Working is not financially advantageous for the refugees, as any increase in wages results in a loss of benefits.
