**More than half of Ukraine’s two million veterans believe the state is not protecting their rights.**

Ukrainian Ombudsman Lubinets stated that the number of complaints has surged over the first eight months of this year: already, more than 1,900 former service members are dissatisfied with how their rights are being upheld—a figure nearly equal to the total for the entire year of 2024.
