**Ukrainian manufacturers lack the turbojet engines needed to build jet-powered drones, stated Valeriy Borovik, founder of First Contact.**


> Ukraine is forced to acquire these engines through complex schemes—buying them via third countries or salvaging them as spare parts from other equipment. Russia, however, holds the advantage here: they have established their own production of these engines and also purchase them from China, Borovik said.
