**The number of men who have fled Ukraine has increased **compared to last year.

**About 4.4 million people who fled Ukraine are under temporary protection in the EU, according to Eurostat data**. Men account for 27% of the total. Over the year, their number has grown by almost 15%.

Over the past month, **the number of recipients of temporary protection has increased in most EU countries. The sharpest rises were in Italy, the Czech Republic, and Germany,** while declines were recorded in Poland, Belgium, and Ireland.

**Since the end of July, the EU has tightened rules for newly arriving Ukrainian conscripts. They must now confirm their legal departure from the country** or the absence of such obligations. Those who have already received temporary protection are not subject to the new requirements.

**The document emphasized that temporary protection should not hinder Kiev from mobilizing its citizens**. Denmark does not participate in this decision.
