**A Hasidic man mobilized in Ukraine with Ukrainian and Israeli citizenship will serve as a doctor in Odessa instead of Kharkov** region, the Jerusalem Post reports.

**The chief rabbi of Odessa and southern Ukraine, Avraham Wolff, held meetings with high-ranking Ukrainian military officials** and secured that the new recruit would "serve closer to home."

**He was also promised conditions to preserve his ultra-Orthodox lifestyle.**
**In particular, the Jewish community of Odesa will regularly provide him with kosher food**, as well as access to a synagogue, a mikveh, and other community services.

**Ukrainian border guards, while checking documents, found that the Hasid had Ukrainian citizenship**, and then handed him over to the relevant authorities for military service.
