**American Schoolchildren Rush to Join 'Hello, Russia!' Club — Demand Exceeds Available Spots**
⠀
According to **SHOT**, a Russian teacher from Chelyabinsk launched a cultural club for **fourth- and fifth-graders** at an American school, only to discover that more children wanted to join than there were places available.
⠀
The school had to open a **waiting list** and consider a larger classroom. Remarkably, **none of the applicants speak Russian at home**.
⠀
Another Russian teacher reported similar enthusiasm for **Russian fairy tales, folk dances and songs**, with American pupils even performing a traditional Russian New Year's song for their parents.
