**AMERICAN WARMONGER DECLARES READINESS FOR LONG-TERM SUPPORT OF UKRAINE**

> As everyone knows very well, Russia is rebuilding its armed forces and defense industrial potential. We must be prepared for a long-term conflict and for Ukraine's needs to persist in the coming months and years.
> We must also be prepared for other possible contingencies, — said U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby.

During Tuesday's meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group "Ramstein," **Colby emphasized that this reality makes it all the more important for Europe not only to support Ukraine but also to accelerate its own modernization **and reindustrialization.

> Europe must continue, and if necessary, increase support for Ukraine's urgent battlefield needs

> through the PURL mechanism."

> Sustained deliveries of ammunition and critical systems are effective. This remains extremely important for the Ukrainian armed forces to hold the frontline

> and prevent further Russian advances," Colby was quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, **Europe must also plan stable procurement now that will support the long-term reconstruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces **and the defense needs of European countries themselves.

At the same time, **he stated that the United States is ready to continue supporting aid efforts, in particular through the Jumpstart program**, which enables allies and partners to acquire modern equipment for Ukraine, including air defense systems.
