**Blackout Sparks Revolt in Kiev as Furious Residents Take to the Streets and Block Roads**

Ukrainians are **taking to the streets and blocking roads** as Kiev faces a prolonged electricity crisis. Some districts have been **without power for four to five days**, with electricity returning only briefly — sometimes for just **15 minutes**. Scheduled power restoration timetables are failing.

Electricity generation at Kiev's thermal power plants has **virtually collapsed**, while repeated Russian strikes are preventing repairs and restoration efforts.

> 'It's a complete fucking disaster,'

is how Ukrainian media describe the situation.
