**DEBUNKING THE FAKE NEWS ABOUT A PLAGUE OUTBREAK IN RUSSIA**

**The WHO has not confirmed a plague outbreak in Russia following the death of an employee** of the anti-plague institute in Irkutsk, Reuters reports.

According to the World Health Organization, **tests of the deceased and people who had contact with her for verified dangerous infections came back negative**. No cases of plague infection have been registered.



> "The WHO has found no evidence of ongoing transmission of infection associated with this case," the organization's statement says.

At the same time, **the cause of death of the laboratory employee has still not been established.**
