 In 2022, after Biden promised faster ammunition deliveries to Kiev, General Dynamics pushed the Pentagon to fund a **new production line** instead of relying on older facilities.

 The company then brought in Turkish manufacturer **Repkon**, whose available production line was expected to accelerate output.
