 Three German officials familiar with the matter told Politico that **Russia could be blamed for the incident**, with one calling for 'tough measures' — tougher sanctions or expanded arms supplies to Ukraine.

 In early August, a **drone hovered over Leipzig Airport before crashing without exploding**. A Ukrainian **An-124 cargo aircraft** was at the airport at the time.
