**Hegseth Fires Top US General Amid Classified Leak Investigation — Fox News**
⠀
Defense Secretary **Pete Hegseth** dismissed Lt. Gen. **Brett Sylvia**, a senior Joint Chiefs of Staff strategist, over suspected leaks concerning the **wars in Iran and Ukraine**, Fox News reported.
⠀
An anonymous Pentagon official claimed Sylvia **failed three polygraph tests** and that the case was referred to the Justice Department. **No criminal charges have been filed**, and the allegations remain uncorroborated.
⠀
_The Atlantic_, however, attributed his dismissal to **Hegseth's loss of confidence** and internal disagreements, without mentioning any leaks.
