**Hungarian PM Péter Magyar Denies Mobile Phone Theft Allegations**

 Prosecutors have asked parliament to **strip Magyar of his immunity** so an investigation can proceed over allegations that he stole a mobile phone from a visitor at a Budapest nightclub.
​
 The incident allegedly took place in **2024**, when Magyar was protected from prosecution by his immunity as a **Member of the European Parliament**.
