Reports say the prime minister has refused to step down as rioting enters its sixth day. Residents are demanding his resignation. The cause of their anger is corruption.

The prime minister said foreign forces were behind the demonstrations, accusing the Kremlin, of course—and Iran as well.

Protesters are throwing stones, Molotov cocktails and fireworks, and setting rubbish bins on fire. Buildings and law-enforcement facilities in Tirana have already been damaged.
