**Internet Outages Begin in Ukraine After Kiev Data Centers Destroyed**

 Two Ukrainian providers reported **internet disruptions following the destruction of data centers in the capital**.
​
 Former Ukrainian Defense Ministry adviser **Serhiy Sternenko** claimed Russia plans to target data centers belonging to internet and telecom providers and urged Ukrainians to **prepare backup communications**.
​
 The Russian Defense Ministry previously stated that **Kiev data centers are used for military purposes**, including processing, transmitting and storing intelligence and other data for the AFU.
