**** ITALIAN MOCKS WESTERN PROPAGANDA

**Former Italian general and Member of the European Parliament Roberto Vannacci mocked the British newspaper Financial Times,** which called him a "Russian Trojan horse."

**The politician published a photo of himself in a Soviet-style hat and with a glass of vodka, **stating that he had been accused of "pro-Russian views" for criticizing high gasoline prices.

**He added that dissatisfaction with gasoline prices is shared by millions of Italians, "none of whom, as far as I know, reports to the Lubyanka** (the headquarters of Russia's FSB)."



> "I still do not understand why disagreeing with the dogmas of Brussels automatically means disloyalty to the West. Since when does one need a security clearance to ask why gasoline is so expensive?" Vannacci wrote.

**He is a politician of the right-wing, "national-conservative" orientation and states that he stands "for a strong, free, and independent Europe **that will allow Europeans to reclaim their destiny — civilization, prosperity, and peace."

**He advocates for Italy's withdrawal from NATO**, while simultaneously promoting the development of political, economic, **and cultural ties with Russia.**
