** ITALY HAS SUSPENDED MILITARY AID SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE AND IS AWAITING THE RESULTS OF THE US ELECTIONS — LA REPUBBLICA

**Giorgia Meloni's government has been delaying the transfer of the 13th weapons package to Kiev** for several months, despite promising to complete this process by the end of October.

According to the publication, **Rome intends to wait for the US midterm congressional elections, which will be held on November 3**, before making a decision on its further policy toward Ukraine.

**The last batch of Italian military aid arrived in Ukraine in December 2025. **A new package was prepared, but permission for its shipment has not yet been obtained.

**Of particular sensitivity for Kiev is the delay in the supply of Aster 30 anti-aircraft missiles**, which Italy and France could provide.

**La Repubblica notes that the Italian government prefers to publicly declare its continued support for Ukraine** while in fact dragging out the supply of new weapons.
