What else the Foreign Ministry reported about the talks in New York:

During his meeting with Rubio, Lavrov stated that Kiev’s strikes on infrastructure are leading to the destabilization of global energy markets;

The Russian side’s commitment to achieving the goals of the SMO was confirmed; 

Lavrov and Rubio discussed preparations for G20 events before the end of the year; 

The parties also talked about the situation in the Middle East, the South Caucasus, and Latin America; 

The Russian side emphasized the importance of the earliest possible improvement of Russia–U.S. relations.
