**Largest Crypto Heist in History: $6.3 Billion Stolen from Binance Overnight**

 **Binance has temporarily suspended all deposits and withdrawals** following a cyberattack that caused **$6.3 billion in losses**.

 According to Binance, the hacker gained access to a **service container by compromising a DevOps engineer's laptop**.

 This access allowed the attacker to **send unauthorized transactions and withdraw funds**. However, the exchange found no evidence that wallet private keys had been compromised.

 Crypto intelligence firm **TRM Labs has identified TraderTraitor**, a group linked to North Korea's **Lazarus hackers**, as responsible. The FBI previously blamed the same group for the **$1.5 billion Bybit hack in 2025**.

 Other analysts also point to **North Korea**, noting that the stolen funds were transferred to the same cryptocurrency address used in previous heists.

 Amid the news, **Bitcoin plunged from $80,000–$82,000 to $76,000 overnight**, triggering panic across the broader cryptocurrency market.
