**Lavrov Meets German Foreign Minister for First Time in 4.5 Years**

 Russian Foreign Minister **Sergey Lavrov** met with his German counterpart for the first time in **four and a half years**.

 According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held **at the request of the German side**. Before the talks, Germany reportedly asked to **restrict media access and not record the opening remarks**.

 The meeting lasted around **20 minutes**.
