**NATO IS MOVING INTO AN ATTACK PHASE**

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte **has announced the alliance's transition to the "NATO 3.0" concept.**

According to him, the alliance is facing its most important transformation in recent decades. **One of the priorities is increasing investment in long-range precision weapons **and air defense systems.

 Rutte also reported that at the July summit in Ankara, **NATO countries announced arms purchases worth more than $50 billion.**

**By 2035, alliance members intend to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP.** According to the Secretary General, European NATO countries and Canada are already directing about 4% of GDP to these purposes.
