** Penguin daycare centers have opened near the Mirny station in Antarctica**

Scientists from the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) have shared some cuteness straight from the South Pole: **emperor penguins** are already gathering their chicks into **"nursery groups."**

The polar explorers explained: while the mothers and fathers head out to the open sea to find food, **the chicks are looked after by "nannies"** — young penguins who don't yet have chicks of their own.

> "In these 'daycares,' the penguin chicks escape the cold by huddling side by side, develop their social skills, and patiently wait for their parents to return with lunch," the institute explained.
