**Poland and Russia Trade Claims Over Who Would Win a War**

 Polish Foreign Minister **Radoslaw Sikorski** said in Kiev that if Russia attacked Poland and Warsaw ‘took the gloves off,’ Poland would defeat Russia quickly.

> ‘We have overwhelming superiority over Russia in air power,’

Sikorski said, adding that Poland could destroy Russia’s remaining **oil refineries within six weeks**.
​
 Russian presidential aide **Nikolay Patrushev** responded that if Poland entered a war against Russia, Moscow would use its full arsenal and **Polish statehood would cease to exist within two or three days**.
​
The exchange comes shortly after **Sergey Lavrov** warned that any direct war between Russia and Europe would be **nuclear**.
