**Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was quick to distance himself from the “Krakow gunman,” saying the shooter had no ties to the Polish military:**


> “I categorically refute the claims circulating in the public sphere that today’s attack in Krakow was carried out by a Polish soldier. This man was not, and is not, a member of the Polish armed forces, and has never had anything to do with the military,” he said.
