**Polish politicians suspect Tusk of planning to impose martial law in the country**

Members of the Sejm Przemysław Wipler and Sławomir Mentzen have both published a letter from the Deputy Chief Commander of the Polish Police, addressed to all regional police commanders, including the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Commander.

The letter was sent on October 29. It orders all police units to be placed on heightened alert from November 2 to 8 and instructs that they be equipped with riot-control gear, submachine guns, and other tactical equipment.
