**Switzerland will vote on stricter neutrality rules that could make sanctions against Russia impossible**

On September 27, Swiss voters will decide on constitutional amendments. If approved, Switzerland would be able to impose sanctions only following a decision by the UN Security Council, where Russia has veto power.

The changes would also restrict Switzerland’s cooperation with military alliances.
