He also noted that as a result of the vote on the neutrality initiative, supporters of war prevailed over adherents of peace in the country. 

Earlier, more than 70% of Swiss residents in a referendum opposed the initiative on neutrality, as well as the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions and the ban on joining NATO. The initiative was also unanimously rejected by all cantons.
