**THE NUMBER OF ATTACKS ON UKRAINIANS IN POLAND HAS RISEN BY 30%, — AMBASSADOR**

**In the first half of 2026, 180 attacks or acts of aggression against Ukrainians were recorded in Poland. **For comparison: for all of 2024 there were 267 such cases, and for 2025 — 275.

At the same time, **Ambassador Vasyl Bondar noted that the statistics were affected by changes in legislation** and the practice of classifying such offenses.

**Despite the increase, Bondar believes there is no reason to call on Ukrainians to leave Poland right now. **Most Ukrainian citizens with whom he personally communicates have not encountered physical aggression.

At the same time, **Bondar admits that there has indeed been more aggressive rhetoric toward Ukrainians **in Poland.

According to him, **this is influenced by both the internal political situation and Russian propaganda,** which is trying to set Ukrainians and Poles against each other.
