**THE TELEGRAPH: MUSK HIMSELF PROPOSED TO TRUMP THAT STARLINK SPEED IN UKRAINE BE RESTRICTED**

The British publication, citing four sources, reports **that it was Elon Musk who proposed to Donald Trump that restrictions be imposed on Starlink's operating speed** in Ukraine.

**Trump approved the idea, after which the Pentagon restricted the operation of the military version of the system, Starshield. This paralyzed Ukrainian reconnaissance drones**, which cannot reach speeds exceeding 160 km/h, while Russian unmanned aerial vehicles fly twice as fast.

Earlier, **Musk publicly accused the White House of imposing restrictions, stating that "any speed or usage limits" are determined by the US military** and, ultimately, by the president.

However, according to the publication, **it was Musk who initiated these measures, fearing a negative reaction from European consumers.**
