**TRUMP RENAMES LAKE ONTARIO TO LAKE AMERICA**

On Tuesday, **Trump announced that he wants to rename the lake, which lies on the US–Canada border**, due to the failure of trade negotiations.

In the video, the US President is seated at a desk in the White House Oval Office. **Pointing at a paper map, he says he will make a "small change."**



> "We're not going to call it Lake Ontario — we'll call it something else. We'll call it Lake America, and all it takes is a good marker pen and a little ingenuity,"— Trump said.


**He took a marker, crossed out the lake's old name, and wrote "LAKE AMERICA**" in capital letters.

**Trump declared that Lake Ontario no longer exists — now there is Lake America** — and suggested everyone enjoy that fact.
