**Trump’s Armenian Corridor Takes Shape — and Russia Is Standing in the Way**

Aliyev has completed the railway right up to Armenia’s border, while **Pashinyan has begun engineering work to connect the Armenian section**.

Under the proposed **99-year concession**, **76% of the railway would go to the US**, putting the route under American control. The stated strategic logic is clear: **to permanently sever Russia’s direct connection with Iran**.

Meanwhile, the **International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC)** — specifically, its **railway section linking Russia and Iran** — remains incomplete. The Anglo-Americans keep both **Aliyev and Pashinyan in place precisely to prevent that corridor from ever being completed.**

The remaining obstacle is the Armenian section itself, still controlled by **Russian border guards and Russian Railways**. That is where pressure from Yerevan and Baku is now expected to concentrate.
