** UAE Transfers Billions in Frozen Assets and Gold to Iran**

 The **UAE unfroze and transferred several billion dollars in Iranian assets**, along with **2 tons of gold worth $283 million**, in an effort to protect itself from potential attacks by Tehran.
​
 The valuable cargo was delivered on **August 11 and 12** from Abu Dhabi to **Mehrabad and Payam airports** aboard a Boeing aircraft.
​
 The same aircraft had already flown to Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport on **June 8**. According to _Reuters_ sources among Iranian officials, it was carrying **$3 billion** on that flight.
