**Britain links a salmonella outbreak to eggs supplied by Ukraine**, The Telegraph reports.

**Investigations into the cause of the infection point to eggs that were served in British cafes **and restaurants.

**Ukraine is currently one of the main suppliers of this product to the country,** accounting for a third of imports.

In June, **Ukrainian instant noodles caused a salmonella outbreak in Europe,** according to an assessment by the European Centre for Disease Control.

**Since August of this year, 259 cases of the disease have been registered in the UK**. More than a third of those infected have been hospitalized, and one person has died.
