**In the third quarter of 2026, 2.6 million accounts were compromised in Ukraine, which caused the country to rise by 41 positions **in the global data leak ranking. In total, 121.8 million accounts were affected worldwide during this period.

**The growth in leaks is accompanied by an increase in the number of cyberattacks on Ukrainian users. **From January to September, CERT-UA specialists handled **about 200 incidents targeting citizens, whereas in the same period last year there were 80.**

Among the common methods: **phishing and data theft to access Telegram and Signal accounts.**
