**UKRAINIANS ARE DELIGHTED: "CRIMEA IS SURRENDERING" — WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING ON THE PENINSULA**

Blogger from Donetsk, Yevgenia Martynova, writes **that Ukrainians are celebrating on Instagram.**

**The narrative is being ramped up that our country is losing and that Crimea is surrendering**. To which Crimeans respond:

> Well, there are problems, but basically, there's food in the stores. We went to the sea, we're not planning on dying."

According to residents of the peninsula, **the situation today is as follows:**

> Yes, for a couple of days they didn't sell perishable goods in stores, and not all cafes were working.

> But non-perishable goods were and still are available in large quantities, and there's no panic or frenzy.

>

> And as for vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, eggs — local farmers are still bringing them to us;

> I think they trade in all districts of the city.

> There are fewer cars on the streets — traffic jams have disappeared

> . Those who timely converted their cars to gas — well done, because there are no problems with gas."

**Crimeans admit they have grown accustomed to nighttime alerts, but mobile internet outages are annoying.** And owners of catering establishments complain that revenue has dropped threefold.

"I think that, of course, **the euphoria in Ukrainian society has been skillfully whipped up, but I expect an inevitable backlash,**"— blogger Martynova concluded.
