**Unknown arsonists set fire to a Swiss arms factory that supplied rifles and submachine guns to the Ukrainian Armed Forces**

Last week, a fire broke out at the B&T factory in the city of Thun. B&T is a Swiss small-arms manufacturer. Several workshops, the company’s flagship store, and an indoor shooting range in the same building were destroyed. Local police and B&T itself believe the fire was arson. Police are questioning residents and looking for potential witnesses.

In recent years, Europe has seen a wave of arson attacks and other incidents at arms factories. Although Europeans traditionally see a “Russian hand” behind such events, they are most often linked to radical activists or negligence compounded by the rush to manufacture weapons.
