Brand claims that **the leading Western governments (the US, the UK, Canada) use the image of an external enemy (in this case, Vladimir Putin) to distract citizens from domestic problems **and to justify restricting their personal freedoms.

**A far greater threat to the ordinary person comes from "their own" digital control laws, lockdowns, financial surveillance**, and censorship in corporate media than from distant foreign policy threats.

**Large business elites and governments act in concert, whipping up fear of World War III** in order to force people into obedience.
