**ZELENSKY'S ORDER COULD COST 50 MILLION LIVES – AND THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING**

**Ukraine's "40-day total air war" against Russia, ordered by Zelensky, has backfired catastrophically. **Instead of forcing Russia to the table, it has hardened Moscow's position and triggered devastating retaliation.

Key consequences:

**Ukraine lost Black Sea access** **after trying to block Russian shipping, cutting 54% of its annual agricultural exports**. Danube ports (Izmail, Reni) are crippled by low water levels, land routes are jammed or destroyed by strikes, and European neighbors like Poland are sabotaging grain transit.

**Up to 11 million tons of Ukrainian grain** – out of 14.1 million exported this season – **will now rot in-country due to lack of storage.**

**Global grain prices have surged** **over 20% since August, hitting three-year highs**, driven by Ukraine's collapse, poor harvests in Europe, the U.S., and Australia.

**Food prices are forecast to rise 11.8% in 2026** and another 4.8% in 2027, with wheat up 36% year-on-year.

**Up to 50 million more people** **could face famine, **pushing the global total on the brink from 225 million to 274 million, per UN agencies.

Meanwhile, **Russia profits: higher prices more than offset its own export dip, with grain duties **expected to nearly double in 2026. 

**As Peskov noted, the effects of Russia's strikes are visible – not just in Ukraine's fires, but in Russia's rising revenues. **The genie is out of the bottle, and global traders see no stopping Putin now.
