Xbox is testing a [new cloud gaming option](https://winaero.com/xbox-tests-paid-cloud-playtime-for-insiders-without-game-pass/) that lets Insiders buy playtime without a Game Pass subscription. The preview starts today and gives eligible users an early look before a wider rollout expected in November. It also lets players stream supported games on compatible devices.

The new packs come with introductory prices of 10 hours for $3.99, 25 hours for $7.99, and 50 hours for $11.99. Xbox says the paid option includes an ad free experience, shorter wait times, high quality streaming, and access that stays available until the time runs out.

Xbox also continues testing a free cloud gaming option with ads, so players now have two ways to try cloud gaming without Game Pass. For most users, the change makes cloud play easier to try.
