An American citizen was nearly beaten to death by Israeli settlers at his own home. Tucker Carlson has published previously unreleased security footage of masked men in black, armed with sticks, attacking the elderly Palestinian-American in Turmus Ayya, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. More men then arrive and set the family's car on fire. The man ended up in surgery at a Ramallah hospital.

Carlson accused US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee of knowing the victim's name and blowing him off when he asked for help. "That's disgraceful. Do your job," Carlson wrote.

Huckabee, whose job is to protect Americans in Israel, called Carlson "deranged" and posted a timeline of the embassy's calls and emails, blaming the victim's son in Chicago for not handing over contact details. Throughout, he refers to an American citizen "allegedly attacked" in "Judea and Samaria," the Israeli settler term for the West Bank. His own timeline shows the son didn't want the case handled by Israeli authorities and kept asking for assurances that his mother and brother, also Americans, wouldn't be turned away at the airport when flying in to see him.
