🇮🇷 IRGC Navy: Three tankers hit mines while trying to sneak out of the Strait of Hormuz
According to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, three violating oil tankers exploded and caught fire over the past 24 hours after striking mines while using an unauthorized southern route through the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC Navy says the ships had switched off all their radar and navigation systems and ignored repeated warnings while trying to exit through the unauthorized route.
"The unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz is contaminated, and ship owners and crews are responsible for using these routes. They should not pay attention to the illusions of US Central Command on social media," the statement reads.
The IRGC Navy added that any provocative action backed by the terrorist and aggressor US army that ignores the strait's regulations will be met decisively.
