About 60 Ukrainians have asked about returning home since Unity Hub Berlin opened in April, and only three were men of potential conscription age, Rheinische Post reports. Retirees showed the strongest interest, and most inquiries were requests for information and advice, not concrete plans to leave.
Most would consider returning only after the fighting ends and security stabilizes. As of October 28, the center had no reliable data on how many people actually began preparing to return.
Germany provides the premises free of charge, while Ukraine runs the center. German Interior Ministry figures show 265,804 Ukrainian men aged 23 to 60 registered in the country as of May 31.
