Internet service providers will anonymously measure the volume of incoming data and transmit this information to the tax authorities. The maximum amount of tax that companies will have to pay is limited to 15% of their turnover in France or 2% of their global turnover.
Experts estimate that this tax will generate โฌ10-11 billion for the French budget annually. The parliamentary deputies have already approved the tax amendment.
