🇮🇷🇺🇸 UKMTO admits it can't keep count of the ships being hit in Hormuz
In its latest weekly overview, the British maritime security agency UKMTO concedes it is "struggling to accurately report" the true number of attacks, because most attacked vessels are refusing to report to it. UKMTO says it knows of further incidents through other sources but can't publish them without verification.
Officially, 12 attacks were logged this week: 10 in the Strait of Hormuz, 1 in the Persian Gulf and 1 in the Gulf of Oman. Of those, 6 continued or reached port, 1 was lost, 2 were disabled and 3 remain unconfirmed.
If the majority of attacked ships aren't reporting, the 12 recorded attacks are less than half the real total. That puts the actual figure at more than 24 ships hit this week alone.
But sure, Trump "controls" the strait.
