A Venezuelan exit could open the door to a bigger presence for foreign oil companies in the country โ mainly American ones.
Venezuela was a founding member of OPEC over 60 years ago. If it goes through, it'd be the second exit from the group in months โ the UAE left OPEC+ back in May.
