Zelensky has stepped up his criticism of Donald Trump over the decision to lift sanctions on Russian diesel, calling it a weak move that will hand Vladimir Putin a great deal of money.
He pointed out that a Ukrainian negotiating delegation is in the United States right now, at the very moment Trump was settling the diesel question with Putin directly.
"I believe our team is simply being used as a smokescreen, and that is definitely not fair, it is definitely not how partners behave, and in my view it is a weak decision, unfortunately, a weak decision by strong partners."
