"No amount of denial by the Chinese side can change this established fact."

That's MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal today, shutting down Beijing's claim that India's naming of 28 places in Ladakh is "illegal and invalid."

China's Foreign Ministry objected after New Delhi put standardised names — including LAC friction points Gogra and Hot Spring — on the Survey of India map. MEA's reply was blunt: the Union Territory of Ladakh is an integral and inalienable part of India.

Why it matters: naming is claim-making. Both sides have been renaming LAC features for years. This round lands the same day Beijing again refused to recognise Ladakh's UT status.
