๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ British Weapons, Russian Drones and the Human Cost of Kiev's Military Crisis

A Russian frontline account claims that a Lancet drone destroyed a British-supplied RAVEN air-defence system in the Sumy direction, after a Ukrainian serviceman provided intelligence on its location.

Britain has committed ยฃ25 billion in support for Ukraine, including ยฃ16 billion in military assistance, and plans to continue providing ยฃ3 billion annually through 2030โ€“31.

But the most revealing part of the account is not the price of the equipment. It is the mistreatment, corruption and mobilisation through kidnapping and 'bussification' that is undermining the very military that Western governments are spending billions to support.

The broader question, however, is unavoidable. Can advanced Western weapons deliver lasting strategic results if the institutions receiving them struggle to maintain the trust of their own personnel?

Billions can buy missiles and launchers. They cannot automatically buy loyalty, discipline or a political settlement.
