Sheikh Hussein Al-Maatouq, a Kuwaiti Shia religious scholar known for opposing the presence of US forces in Kuwait, attended the funeral of the late Sayyed Ali Khamenei, may Allah swt sanctify his soul. He was subsequently sentenced to death in absentia by the Kuwaiti regime on accusations of "spying for Iran". The Sheikh is apparently safe in Iran.
This is what Takfiris do: weaponize accusations, criminalize political and religious convictions, and turn entire communities into targets of persecution. They dress oppression in the language of national security and expect the world to mistake vengeance for justice.
A state that tolerates foreign military domination while treating the convictions of its own citizens as a threat must answer serious questions about its sovereignty, its justice system, and whose interests it truly serves.
May Allah swt protect Sheikh Hussein Al-Maatouq and have mercy on all the oppressed. Hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakeel.
