Iran has appointed veteran IRGC commander Mohsen Rezaei as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, replacing Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr.

Rezaei, a longtime hardliner and former IRGC commander, will serve as the second-in-command of Iranโ€™s top security body.
